Campaign Description
In the rural district of Luangwa, Zambia, a determined group of young women is rising with a bold dream — to build a sustainable goat farming business that provides income, dignity, and a future for themselves and their families.
These young women face daily challenges: limited job opportunities, early marriages, and financial dependency. But instead of waiting for change, they are choosing to create it. Goat farming is more than a business to them — it’s a pathway to economic independence and community development.
What We Need
To successfully launch and scale the goat farming project, we are seeking ZMW 500,000 to cover:
-
Goat Stock (Boer and Local breeds) – For breeding and commercial sales
-
Construction of Goat Shelters & Fencing – Secure and hygienic housing
-
Feed, Veterinary Care & Vaccinations – Ensuring healthy livestock
-
Training in Livestock Management & Agribusiness – Skills for sustainability
-
Marketing & Distribution Setup – Access to local and regional markets
Why This Project Matters
✅ Women Empowerment – Enables young women to earn, save, and lead
✅ Sustainable Agriculture – Goats multiply quickly and thrive in Luangwa’s climate
✅ Community Impact – Creates jobs, combats poverty, and inspires other girls
Our Commitment
These young women are fully committed to managing this business responsibly. They will operate as a registered cooperative, with transparent records, community oversight, and mentorship from experienced farmers.
