Thandizo Zambia – Trust, KYC & Anti-Fraud Policy

Keeping Thandizo Safe & Trustworthy
At Thandizo Zambia, we want everyone to feel confident that their donations are going to real campaigns and that campaigners are verified. This policy explains how we protect donors, verify campaigns, and prevent fraud.

1. Who We Verify

  • Campaign Owners: Must provide valid ID (NRC or Passport) or official NGO/organization registration documents.

  • Organizations: Must submit registration certificates, TPIN, and official bank account details.

  • Donors: Must provide valid payment information via approved gateways.

2. How Verification Works

  • Manual Review: All campaigns are reviewed by the Thandizo team before going live.

  • Document Checks: We confirm IDs, registration certificates, and bank accounts.

  • Ongoing Monitoring: Campaigns are monitored for unusual activity. Suspicious campaigns are frozen until verified.

3. Fund Disbursement

  • All donations are held in escrow until campaign milestones are verified.

  • Manual Approval: Withdrawals require Thandizo team approval before funds are released.

  • Partial Releases: For long-term projects, funds may be released in stages as milestones are confirmed.

4. Protecting Donors

  • We do not store sensitive card information; payments are handled securely by approved gateways (cGrate, 543, MTN, Airtel).

  • Donors are notified of any issues, delays, or suspected fraud immediately.

  • Disputes or fraudulent activity are investigated, and refunds are issued when necessary.

5. Reporting Fraud

  • Users can report suspicious activity via legal@thandizozambia.org.

  • We investigate all reports and take appropriate action, including freezing campaigns or removing fraudulent users.

6. Commitment to Transparency

  • Campaign updates, fund usage, and disbursements are communicated clearly to donors.

  • Thandizo Zambia publishes periodic transparency reports for all active campaigns.

7. Updates to this Policy

  • We may update these policies as needed to improve security or comply with regulations.

  • Updates are posted on the website and communicated to users when significant.
